The weather will be tough and uncomfortable: what spring to expect in the US
Forecasters from the National Weather Service (NOAA) have published their new three-month forecast. What will spring be like in the USA? News10.

A vast swath of the country, from Oregon and Northern California, through the western mountains and plains to Texas and the Gulf of Mexico, is forecast to experience drier-than-usual spring weather. The La Niña event affects the weather in the US CA usually bringing drier conditions to the southern half of the country and more rainfall to the northern half. La Niña will continue until the summer.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Climate Prediction Center predicts two spots of particularly dry conditions: one over the Texas Panhandle (the state's 26 northernmost counties) and one over Utah and Nevada.

The only area in the continental United States where precipitation is expected to be above normal for the next three months is in the Great Lakes region. Much of the western United States is already suffering from drought. If NOAA's predictions for the next three months come true, the drought will only worsen as the region approaches its driest summer months.

It is expected that in most states it will be not only dry, but also hot, especially in New Mexico, Texas and Western Oklahoma. Only a tiny part of the country on the Pacific Northwest coast is forecast to have a cool spring.
Temperatures and rainfall are expected to be above normal in the Hawaiian Islands for the next three months.
