Omanoot: Russia will see the art of Israel in all its glory

You can now plunge into the atmosphere of Israel without leaving St. Petersburg. From 1 to 22 July, “Days of Israeli art and culture in St. Petersburg” will be held simultaneously at several venues. Exhibitions, lectures, workshops, opening days, presentations of new projects will unfold for guests and residents of the city along the whole Nevsky Prospect

• The 1 project will be opened in July with a special exhibition of drawings by schoolchildren from the Israeli city of Sderot, whose children live on the border of war and peace. Colorful good illustrations of the daily life of the city, family, friends and the sound of an alarm signal also tell about what helps to preserve the world - about love and the will to live. On the opening day at 16.30 in the “Ziferblat” coking room on Nevsky Prospect, 81 guests will meet with Dima Zitser and a master class for young guests with artist Alexander Rokhlin. Dima Zitser, director, doctor of pedagogical sciences, author of books and articles, founder of the Institute of non-formal education and the BUT Orange school, will sort out the topic “Adult in the labyrinths of childhood,” and the guys at this time will not only learn a few lessons from the famous St. Petersburg painter, but also learn with "Great heroes of biblical history." On the opening day at 19.30, the most interesting lecturer Sergei Mitrofanov will give a lecture “Jewish secret writing”. Both exhibitions are open until July 22.

• The following events will be held at the Art Gallery “Molbert”, B. Konushennaya Street, 11 (in the courtyards of the Chapel). Here, from 7 to 20 July, the 29 traveling exhibition of Israeli artists “Following the Footsteps of Chagall in Israel” was opened, timed to coincide with the 125 anniversary of Mark Shagal’s birthday, which was celebrated on July 6 (or July 7).
