Florida County Becomes 'Refuge' for Gun Owners
Lake County, Florida, became the first state in the state to pass a Second Amendment Asylum Resolution and advocate gun rights. Recall that the Second Amendment to the US Constitution guarantees the right of citizens to keep and carry weapons.

The Lake County Commission in central Florida approved the measure last week in response to proposals from Democrats running for US presidency to buy weapons from Americans, writes Fox News.
A resolution passed by the 4: 0 vote states that law-abiding Lake County arms owners are protected from having their weapons seized.
According to local media, Commissioner Josh Blake said the resolution draws a line that cannot be crossed without serious consequences.
“I hope this - without the soft language - will be a message to what might be called 'authoritarian control fans' who see it as their job to forcefully disarm their fellow citizens,” Blake said.

Another district commissioner was absent from the vote, but also expressed support for the resolution.
An arms control group in Florida said the resolution Blake supported was meaningless.
“I think this is just a show of gun lobbyists and their supporters,” said Andy Pelosi, co-chair of the Florida Coalition to Prevent Gun Violence.
