Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte during a press conference publicly insulted US President Barack Obama for his criticism of the methods used by the Philippine authorities in combating drug trafficking, The Telegraph reports.

It is reported that in this way Duterte responded to information about Obama’s intention within the framework of the East Asian Summit in Laos to raise the issue of how the Philippine authorities are fighting against drug trafficking, which resulted in the death of thousands of people in the month of 2.

The President of the Philippines was supposed to hold bilateral talks with Obama 6 September at the ASEAN summit in Laos, but the American president, according to the publication, has already thought about the advisability of meeting with him.

“I have seen his juicy remarks in the past. Clearly, he's a colorful guy, ”Obama said.

Earlier, the head of the Philippines called the “homosexual” American Ambassador Philip Goldberg for attempting to interfere in domestic politics.
