New York City Department of Agriculture Commissioner advises residents not to eat salted fish sold in stores Kings fruit on Fifth Avenue and Vegetable Corporation at bay ridge.

Fish in packages is not cleaned of viscera, which is prohibited by the rules of the sale of this product in the state of New York.
Untreated fish may contain spores that pose a risk to the health of consumers and carry infection.
