California startup Stripe launched an online service Atlas, which will allow entrepreneurs from around the world to register their company in the United States, and more specifically in the state of Delaware. To do this, you just need to fill out a questionnaire - you will not have to come to America. They will also be able to open an account in one of the US banks and connect to the Stripe payment system. While Atlas is in beta mode by invitation only.

At the beta stage, applications are not accepted from everyone. The first 100 lucky company will register for free. However, for the rest of the cost of the service will be $ 500. This will include all fees for registering a company and opening a bank account. Stripe fees will be 2,9% and an additional 30 cents for each successful transaction.

Call for applications started yesterday. It’s easier for budding startups to be among the lucky ones: Atlas cooperates with business incubators 500 Startups, Y Combinator, Startupbootcamp and others, and accepts applications from their residents directly. In general, Atlas has more than 60 partners, including venture funds and investors from around the world.

In the future, the company plans to expand the list of states in which it will be possible to remotely register a company through Atlas. And at first, the service will work only with Delaware. In addition to registration and bank accounts, Atlas will offer clients additional services from partners, including free use of Amazon Web Services cloud services, tax and legal advice from Orrick law firm and PwC auditing company.

Stripe CEO Patrick Collison presented at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) conference in Barcelona. Stripe was founded in 2011 year and today is estimated at $ 5 billion. The company cooperates with AmericanExpress and Twitter and is constantly expanding the range of services. Thanks to Atlas, she will be able to start expanding beyond the US to compete with PayPal.

Interestingly, the previously simplified online registration procedure was launched in Estonia. The Estonian parliament approved a bill that allows any foreigner to obtain electronic citizenship of the country, remotely register his company in Estonia or open an account in a local bank.
