USCIS Changes US Visa Application Process: New Details

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on December 6, 2019 announced the start of electronic registration of H-1B visa applications in fiscal year 2021. Now the agency has created a separate page for such registration, this was reported on the official USCIS website.

Persons wishing to apply for H-1B for 2021, including employers applying for these visas by people with a degree, must first go through electronic registration in USCIS.

To register H-1B, you will need an online account on the USCIS website.

The type of account will depend on who is applying:

• Employers who have previously submitted such applications can use their existing account.
• New employers need to create an initial account. This feature will be available from February 24th.

Employers can add information about their potential employees to their accounts at any time. But only from March 1, from 12:00 Eastern time, it will be possible to pay a non-refundable registration fee of $ 10 for each.

The initial registration period will last from 12:00 on March 1 to 12:00 on March 20, 2020.

Creation of an account and registration of applications will be available throughout this period. Consideration of applications will begin after March 20.

If by March 20 USCIS receives more applications than the visa limit, then a random selection will be conducted. A notification about this will appear in the account on the site. By March 31, 2020, all applicants will receive notifications that their application is pending.
