Police in Odessa, Texas, on October 12, indicted 44-year-old Daniel Schwartz and 34-year-old Ashley Schwartz with murder. The incident took place on August 29, doctors arrived at the Shvarts' house to answer a call, where they found the girl's body.
“An investigation into the incident revealed that the 8-year-old child was punished, was not allowed to eat breakfast, and was forced to jump on a trampoline non-stop for an extended period of time,” police said in a statement. “Further investigation revealed that the 8-year-old girl was not allowed to drink water because she was not jumping.”

After obtaining a search warrant, authorities said they measured the temperature on the trampoline and found it to be approximately 110 degrees Fahrenheit, the temperature of the trampoline was approximately 43,3 degrees and the temperature of the trampoline floor was approximately 110 degrees Fahrenheit. “On October 8, 2020, Odessa police received the final autopsy report, which indicated that the cause of death was dehydration,” police confirmed.

Daniel and Ashley Schwartz are indicted and taken into custody at the Ector County Law Enforcement Center. It is not yet clear whether the defendants hired a lawyer in this case.
