In North Carolina, on the Atlantic Beach of a 14-year-old surfer, a shark twice bit the right shin, writes Daily Mail.
The head of the fire department of the beach, Adam Snyder, said that the shark grabbed a teenager by the leg, but let go when she realized that it was not a fish. The teenager swam to shore, not having received life-threatening injuries. He was sent to the hospital where he was stitched.
The shark was unable to notice in time because of the dark water.
The media says that this is the first attack of the shark this season. Shark subspecies unknown.
