Perhaps you are even psychologically waiting for the moment when you lose it, to say to yourself: “Well, now there’s definitely nothing holding me here.” But if you pull, you will find yourself in a much more difficult situation than now, and you will be much more difficult, because the situation in the country will surely change for the worse, and you will have less money.

So, while there is an opportunity to run - run! And do not think about what will happen if "it does not work out and will have to return." Return you no longer have to. Well, except that riding a white horse.

Whatever your financial situation, there is always an option that you can afford. It is another matter that maybe you counted and planned for yourself some more comfortable and attractive option than the one that is available to you financially. And you simply did not consider the opportunities that are available to you financially and therefore do not know about their existence. But this does not mean that they do not exist.

If you decide to run in the US under the E-5 investor program, which requires 500 000 dollars, and will sit and complain that you don’t have them, and therefore you cannot leave, then it will end up starving you or rotting in the camp there is the bloke you see on TV now.

Understand a simple thing, you are not planning a tourist trip now, where you can be capricious and choose the number of sunny days a year and the angle of the sea view. You are now running away, saving your life, and therefore your task is to find a hole in the fence that you can crawl through, and duck into this hole as quickly as possible. Even if you don’t like this hole at all right now and behind it looms not a sunny beach, but a puddle. But this hole leads to freedom - and that says it all.

And if you, dreaming of the States, ended up in Montenegro or Ukraine, this is not a tragedy, but a great success. What is stopping you from planning to move to the States in the same way, but you will do it in completely different conditions and with great potential!

What will I live there? Can I find a job in the specialty? What if I can't?

I do not know what you will live there and whether you will find work “by specialty”, but I know for sure that you will not die of hunger there and you will not have to spend the night under the bridge.

What cannot be guaranteed to those who, unlike you, will not fall down and remain in Russia.

I could say something trivial, like, “it would be better to shepherd the sheep free than to be the eldest shnyr in the barrack,” and that would be true, but I would not say that.

Because I saw a lot of people who were overwhelmed with fear “would I find a job”, dreamed of working as “at least a waiter” and in the end were arranged without problems by the waiters and waiters remained so. Although according to their potential they could become owners of restaurants.

Do not be afraid. Nothing threatens you except your very fear.

I repeat once again, you are not in danger of dying of hunger. You are in danger of being a fool and not taking advantage of the opportunities that open up before you, which you did not have in your homeland.

You now have a great opportunity to start with a clean slate, so do not drag along from the dark past the whole load of the local brakes and prejudices.

So breathe in deeply, look around and look for new opportunities for yourself. Search. They will be full - believe me. And it will be extremely stupid to tuck the thresholds in search of a place for a “pr-manager” just because you worked as a “pr-manager” at home. You did not come here to cling to the past!

When I bought tickets to Cyprus in 2011, we had only one-way money and a tiny financial pillow to live for a month. Six months later, we drove into our own apartments on the beach next to the sea. Sell, in the end, or otherwise otherwise dispose of all this can be and then, without coming back through attorneys. Prices will not be the same? And if you stay, will they be different?

And remember, most of those killed in the Leningrad blockade had the opportunity to evacuate, but did not do this, fearing to lose the Leningrad residence permit and living space during the evacuation.

A person will always have the sort with which he himself has assessed himself, which he himself has appointed. If you are afraid of becoming a second-rate person there, it means that here you didn’t have the first grade, so your status will not change.

I do not know a single person, even among the most hardened losers, who could not quickly learn another language when a real need arose. It is another matter that in many countries the presence of a large Russian-speaking diaspora makes it possible to live comfortably without knowing other languages ​​besides Russian, therefore very few people teach them there.

Yes, and about the "adapt". A person who has adapted to life in the CIS countries, adapts to anything.

I have parents and other close people here. I can’t leave them, but they don’t want to move with me

Do not throw them. But do not take any steps to move because of this wrong. You will need to do a lot of routine work to move, start doing it now.

Do everything possible, break off, draw up documents, legalize your future stay there (and just in case the stay of parents). So that at the critical moment you have everything ready for emergency evacuation.

For three years, my wife and I, like a pendulum, were winding between Moscow and Cyprus, living in two houses, but by the time it became possible to solve this problem, there were no obstacles to the move.
