Moldovans spend half the money on food

Moldovans spend much more than they can afford. According to statistics, last year the size of the consumer basket was about 1600 lei, and monthly expenses per person exceeded 1800 lei.

According to statistics, about half of this money comes from food. At the same time, a fifth of the income received went to pay for utilities, and about 10% - for clothes and shoes.

It is noteworthy that last year Moldovan citizens spent only 5% of earned money on health.

The statistics also show that the Moldovans have a rather poor menu. Bread, dairy products and eggs remain the main food that is preferred by Moldovans. And least of all on the Moldovan table meets meat and fish.
