The court ordered his wife's lover to pay $ 8,8 million deceived husband
This week, a Supreme Court judge in North Carolina ordered a Texas resident to pay $ 8,8 million to a man with whose wife he had an affair, writes Fox News.
The payment was $ 2,2 million in damages plus three times the amount of penalties.
In 2017, Keith King of Durham blamed his wife's lover Francisco Heizrah III of San Antonio for criminal ties, a split in the family, deliberately causing emotional damage, moral damage caused by negligence and beating.
During the trial, the unfaithful spouse Daniel King, who is 15 years younger than her husband, reported that she had had a relationship with Heyzer since 2015, and that her marriage to Keith Kin was not satisfactory from the very beginning.
Heyzer plans to appeal.
It is noted that the couple got married in the year 2010 and raise 5-year-old daughter.
North Carolina is one of several states where deceived spouses can sue lovers.
