Top Retirement Countries
Americans have to save a lot when they retire. More than 20 percent of respondents said that they have no cash, but a new study shows that people all over the world are facing similar economic problems.
According to the Natixis' 2018 Global Retirement Index, citizens around the world are facing demographic problems and the effects of adaptive monetary policy, including stagnant wage growth, rising debt levels and increasing health care costs.
“Global retirement protection faces a multi-dimensional challenge as the traditional tripartite funding model is challenged by 21st century demographics, fiscal imbalances and monetary policy,” said Jean Rabie, CEO of Natixis Investment Managers.
According to Natixis, in some countries, retirees feel better than others, assessing their well-being and financial security compared to 43 retirees in countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), BRIC countries and advanced economies. Monetary Fund (IMF).
