The largest startups of Silicon Valley offer hundreds of vacancies
Despite fears related to the growth rate of technology start-ups, most of the Silicon Valley companies open new vacancies.
For example, over the past month, Uber posted 158 vacancies in the San Francisco Bay Area (excluding driver vacancies), and Dropbox posted 113 vacancies.
The so-called unicorns (unicorns), as start-ups are called, whose market value exceeds 1 billion dollars, announced a total of 1,500 new employees in the past 30 days, according to Datafox.
“Startups with strong bases continue to hire people and take advantage of layoffs at other companies to increase the size of their teams,” says Anisha Sekar of DataFox.
In this case, as reported, companies are looking for not only software engineers. The same Uber, for example, also hires copywriters, client managers, and even researchers. Dropbox, among other things, is looking for sales managers and designers.
Strategists who are responsible for the development of projects, growth strategy and other areas in terms of promoting start-ups are also in great demand.
However, among the technology companies that this year were forced to abandon a certain number of employees due to economic difficulties, there were even Microsoft and Yahoo.
The founder and head of The Muse's major job portal, Catherine Minshew, believes that it is too early to talk about a slowdown in the growth of representatives of Silicon Valley, regardless of the size of companies.
