Crocodile bit off the hand of an American at a popular resort in Mexico

In the Mexican city of Cancun, a crocodile attacked a tourist, biting off part of his hand. The accident happened around 6 in the morning on July 2.

As writes edition Riviera Maya News40-year-old tourist from the USA Cal Monzon stayed at a resort hotel. In the morning, in a state of intoxication, he decided to go out into the street, where he wanted to urinate into the lagoon located nearby.

There he was attacked by a crocodile and bit off his right arm above the elbow. The tourist shouted, what caught the attention of the hotel security guard. He immediately called the doctors.

The victim was taken to a private hospital, where his arm was amputated. The man is in the clinic and continues to fight for his life.

According to official data, 22 crocodile attacks on people have been reported in Cancún over the past 36.
