California is the leader in sales of electric cars
Of all electric vehicles sold in the United States, California alone accounts for 40 percent of sales, according to American research firm Frost & Sullivan.
The analytical report showed that due to local support and various privileges to own a “green” car, we should expect another record in 2017 in California, when gradually, by 2025, the number of electric cars sold here would increase to 1,4 million units (from 60 thousand in 2014) ).
The main incentives to increase sales of electric vehicles in California were primarily attributed to reducing the initial cost of buying cars for potential customers.
Next comes a wide range of intangible incentives. For example, a special state policy on providing green car parking. In particular, in California, it is allowed to park an electric car free of charge at government offices. Another privilege is the ability to use public transport lanes.
However, there is still a lot left for local authorities to do with the policy of providing electric vehicles with proper charging infrastructure. Analysts at Frost & Sullivan note that if there are enough fast charging points for electric vehicles, California could achieve even better sales of "green" cars.
Recall that the new building regulations of the state of California include the provision that all new builds must necessarily include the installation of chargers for electric vehicles. For example, parking for a hundred or more cars should be provided with wiring that can withstand the connection of charging stations - at least 3 percent of the total number of cars.
Previously "Forum" писалthat Tesla Motors has withdrawn 90 thousands of electric vehicles to check the seat belt. The manufacturer sent letters to customers asking Model S owners to schedule a visit to a service center.
October 15 in Tesla electric cars autopilot appeared, but not yet full.
However, one driver from Miami already complained that his car on autopilot was moving at a speed of 75 miles per hour in an area where the speed is limited to 60 miles. As a result, he was stopped by a Florida traffic police patrol, and now this driver invites everyone to get acquainted with a copy of the fine, which he was discharged.
