California parks on black Friday will work for free
On Black Friday, which falls on November 25 this year, Californians will have the opportunity to spend free time in hundreds of state parks and preserves. The list of 116 out of 280 state parks available for visiting is completely free, writes SF Gate.
The first 13 000 visitors on cars will receive a special one-day pass and will be able to drive their cars to the park for free, organizers say.
Parks that will offer a free picnic on Black Friday include Mount Diablo State Park, Mount Tamalpais State Park, Tomales Bay State Park, Jack London State Historic Park, Half Moon Bay State Beach, full list published on the website of the organizers of the action.
“We have many beautiful parks in California. “We want people to have the opportunity to enjoy this beauty on this day,” says Sam Hodder, one of the organizers of the event and head of the Save the Redwoods League. “Last year we opened free access to 48 parks, this year we already have 116 on the list.”
