How cousins from Maine built a multi-million dollar business with a single food truck
The love of lobster dishes has become a multi-million dollar business for two cousins from Maine.

“My cousin Sabin and I are both from Maine. We grew up there, surrounded by lobsters. So we decided, let's join forces and recreate our childhood with Maine lobster and bring it to parts of the country where maybe it wasn't as accessible or of the same quality as ours,” said Jim Tselikis.

So the company appeared Cousins main lobster.
Sabin and Jim purchased a food truck from which they sold lobster dishes in Los Angeles (California).

They achieved success quite quickly and even got on “Shark Tank” - an American TV show where aspiring entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to investors. If an investor likes the idea, the participant receives investment to launch the product in exchange for a stake in their company or a royalty payment.
“We've been scaling through a franchise model for the last four or five years,” Tselikis explained.
Cousins Maine Lobster now has 19 establishments in several US states and is starting to open restaurants, not just food trucks.

“The value of a food truck is that you can go to market,” Tselikis said. According to him, this format helps to find people and learn to “do everything right.”
The cousins also released a book in which they told how to turn a food truck into a multi-million dollar business.
