Immigration Service has announced new conditions for obtaining a startup visa

US Citizenship and Immigration Services has published new rules obtaining visas for entrepreneurs. To receive it claim foreigners who are going to open and develop a new business in America. With proper compliance with all conditions, the United States will provide the founders of the projects and their family members with legal stays in the country for 30 months. Moreover, this period can be extended for another 30 months, while in the states.
The new rules come into force on July 17 of this year.
So, a person whose start-ups have been created during the last 5 years can obtain such a visa. Provided that one or another investor (applicant) continues to play a “main and active role” in the business.
One company can get no more than 3 visas (passwords) for its creators.
Family members of entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to apply for an EAD - permission to work in any other location. The visa fee will be $1200.
Basic conditions for obtaining a visa:
An entrepreneur must own at least 10% of a startup, while showing that a new business has the potential to grow rapidly and create new jobs. How can you prove it?
You must have a US investor or state grants. You can partially take advantage of these two requirements and provide $ 100K; or
there is “compelling evidence” that the startup will provide “significant positive impact to society” in the US.
