The Ministry of Digital Development of Russia has proposed to fine legal entities and entrepreneurs operating in the country who connect to foreign satellite networks, bypassing Russian regulations.

The department requires that all information be transmitted to foreign satellites through state-controlled stations, writes “Voice of America".

The authors of the document propose to fine businessmen, legal entities and officials if they do not comply decree governments on how to use satellite networks operated from abroad.

The development of fines coincides with the launch of two systems for global access to the Internet via satellites. In May, the company Ilona Mask SpaceX brought out into orbit the first 60 mini-satellites out of a planned 4,5 thousand for the Starlink project.
