Georgia and Moldova hit the top ten most religious countries
Reputable Researcher - Win / Gallup International Association - published results global public opinion poll. In each country, a thousand people were interviewed. Sociologists asked whether you are religious or not. The results were predictable and at the same time amazing.
Most believers live in Ghana (96 percent of the population), Nigeria (93%), Armenia (92%), Fiji (92%), Macedonia (90%), Romania (89%), Iraq (88%), Kenya ( 88%), Peru (86%), Brazil (86%), Georgia (84%), Pakistan (83%), Moldova (83%), Colombia (83%).
Russia hit the middle of the list with 55%. And least of all believers in China (14%), Japan (16%), Czech Republic (20%), Turkey (23%), Sweden (29%, Vietnam (30%), Australia (37%), France (37% ).
Atheism index leads China. Convicted atheists here called themselves 47% of respondents. Next come: Japan (31%), Czech Republic (30%), France (29%), South Korea (15%), Germany (15%), Netherlands (14%). Russia is in the twentieth place with 6% atheists.
In total, 52 polled thousands of people in 57 countries where 73% of the world's population lives.
“Religion continues to dominate our daily lives, and we see that the total number of people who consider themselves religious is actually quite large,” said Win/Gallup International Association President Jean-Marc Ledger, commenting on the survey results.
