San Francisco residents have had human waste problems for a long time, but new reports show that there is more feces in the Gulf area than ever before.

This data is published by Open the Books, a non-profit government observer who analyzes all cases closed by the San Francisco Public Works Department since 2011.
According to the data, in 2011, more than 5000 excrement cases were reported on the street. In the 2018 year, this number increased more than fivefold and exceeded the 8 000 reported cases.

Recall, the so-called “blackout” area of the bay is characterized by a large number of homeless residents. Of the 7499 registered homeless in 2017, about 58%, or 4 353 people, are considered unprotected.
