Google and Walmart united against Amazon

Google and Walmart, the largest supermarket chain in the United States, have joined forces against Amazon, the world's leading online retailer.

Google, which creates Android software used by most smartphones in the world, plans to offer hundreds of thousands of Walmart products on its Google Assistant voice platform from late September. Thus, the two companies intend to increase their revenues. The first is due to advertising, and the second for a larger turnover of their products.

Google representatives believe that with the help of their work, people will be able to buy goods faster. Two technologies will help with this: machines capable of receiving requests and giving answers, and VPA - virtual assistants. According to experts, in two or three years, these projects will gain great popularity.

Partners also integrate a joint project aimed at the rapid purchase of goods purchased earlier. So, people will not have to re-look for the same products.

Already next year, Walmart is going to increase the volume of voice purchases, which will involve more than 4,5 thousand stores located in the United States in order to create a quality service that currently does not exist in voice trading.

Observers note that the combined project will become Amazon's main competitor and could push it out of the market as it develops. In this regard, analysts expect the beginning of a struggle between giant corporations for consumers. However, the fight will be difficult. Amazon currently controls about 70% of the voice control market, while Google has 22%.
