Where to leave luggage at US airports while you are watching the city

During the long transfer at the airport, I don’t want to spend all the time in the terminal, and it’s not very convenient to watch the city with luggage. Edition Airfarewatchdog collected information about where the luggage is located at different airports in the United States.

Las Vegas (LAS)

Where: SmartCarte storage rooms are located in the 1 terminal (gate A, B, C), as well as in the 3 terminal (gate D and E).

How many: $ 2-3 per hour or $ 8-12 per day, depending on the size of the bag.

Good to know: This is an automatic luggage storage room in which you can store up to 48 hours.

Los Angeles (LAX)

Where: LAX Luggage Storage (outside of terminals).

How many: $ 5-12 per day, depending on the size of the bag.

Good to know: This is a private company that accepts bags on demand (red signs near each terminal) and delivers them back whenever you need. This may seem a bit risky, but many travelers have used their services, no incidents have occurred so far.

New York (JFK)

Where: arrival level, terminals 1, 4 and 8.

How many: $ 4-16 (1 terminal, 4), $ 8-22 per day (8 terminal).

Good to know: despite the fact that the airport claims to have only one baggage storage location (Terminal 1), all 3 locations are constantly operational. It is only important to pay attention to their schedule. The cameras in Terminal 1 are open from 7:00 to 23:00, in Terminal 4 - around the clock, in Terminal 8 - from 6:00 to 22:00.

San Francisco (SFO)

Where: Airport Travel Agency, International Terminal.

How many: $ 12-20 per day.

Good to know: Luggage storage here does not work around the clock, so check the work schedule to make sure that they will be open when you return for your belongings.

Atlanta (ATL)

The store that offered the luggage storage service at this airport has closed, so now there is no place in Atlanta where you can leave your bags and walk around the city.

Chicago-O'Hare (ORD)

There is no special place to store luggage, but many passengers go to the nearby Hilton hotel and leave their bags there, having agreed at the reception.

Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW)

Passengers at this airport will also have to walk to the Grand Hyatt hotel located near the airport, where in most cases you will not be denied supervision of your suitcases.

Denver (DEN), Phoenix (PHX) and Charlotte (CLT)

Luggage storage at these airports are missing.
