I do not consider the specific difficulties that arise when emigrating through marriage. Looking around, appreciating the experience of my acquaintances that I was married to foreigners, I came to the conclusion that sincere love, mutual respect and readiness for compromise are beating everyone. 1. Negative from former compatriots

This item applies only to those who do not break all connections with their historical homeland, but continues to use social networks and other Internet resources in Russian.

A lot of negativity and intolerance spills from the "true patriots", former compatriots. When I just started posting posts on Picaba, I immediately began to receive a huge number of “minuses”. At first, I sincerely did not understand what was the matter, who didn’t like my posts so actively. Then a kind person explained to me that part of the audience perceives emigration as a betrayal of the Motherland, and in order to keep one's nerves, it is worth publishing posts on similar topics in the profile community.

2. Disappointment on arrival due to the discrepancy between reality and fantasy

People from the previous point perceive emigration as getting into the country of roses and magic ponies, something like, “you fled to a better future, but we are patriots”.

But it is much worse when the emigrants themselves are crammed with such fantasies.

Unfortunately, abroad, the mountains of gold are not given out to anyone in fact.

When thinking about emigration, it’s worth remembering minibus drivers in Russia, dark-skinned cleaners in shopping centers - they came to a country with a higher standard of living than their own, and what, are they swimming in gold? Do others admire their courage?

3. Nostalgia for the Motherland

It's all individually. Abroad, if you wish, you can find friends from any country in the world, buy lard and Borodino bread in a Russian store, and arrange get-togethers for the songs of the “Lube” group, someone has nostalgia like this, someone else.

Again, now is not the old days, if you wish, you can always return to native birch trees. In my opinion, the problem is that over time there is nowhere to go back.

First, time does not stand still, those who left twenty-thirty years ago, left another country, which is no longer in reality. They say that other people's children grow quickly, a society in which you do not live is changing even faster.

Secondly, this is especially true for people who live on benefits; their historic homeland begins to seem like a fabulous place for them. People convince themselves that they would have achieved much more if they had remained there.

4. Break social ties

Relatives and friends are far away, you can no longer go to the store with a friend - at first, the absence of loved ones around is really traumatic.

But, first, over time, it becomes easier and new friends appear, and secondly, there is the Internet. With the help of vibera, skype, etc. You can communicate with relatives at least daily.

The times have changed, if in the times of the USSR people left forever, realizing that they would never see relatives and native places again, now everything is different. There is no this terrible keynote “forever”, the connection with the historical homeland is not interrupted, besides, you can always return if you wish.

5. The need to learn a foreign language and mastering a new profession, the need to find oneself in adulthood

Here a lot depends on a particular person, his psychological attitude, the presence of a sought-after profession and moral support.

6. Emigration is always a way out of the comfort zone.

Naturally, even with the condition of emigration to a prosperous country, it is accompanied by stress and the need for an adaptation period.

Small stresses are even useful, they help to stretch the brains, make them move more actively. Another thing is when the adaptation period is delayed - it is hard and rather scary, because it seems that this state of loneliness and alienity can stay with you forever.

1. Hope for financial well-being

Most leave for dreams of a better future and financial stability, and many eventually reach their goal.

For example, if we talk about professional emigration. Remuneration in the modern world is more tied to the place of work than to a specific result of labor. In other words, to improve their financial conditions, a person can either improve and improve their professional level, or change their place of residence.

2. Opportunity to live another, completely different life

By a certain age, a person already knows exactly what will happen next - the same as today, the same places, activities, environment...

As the hero said in one movie: “Instead of the future, the present has become. In the USA, the attitude towards people by default is strongly shifted towards positive, it is very surprising at first, after moving, when strangers offer help. Here they proceed from the postulate that a stranger is a friend with whom you are not familiar yet.

4. The environment is more favorable (it all depends on where the person is moving)

Good roads, clean streets, increased household slenderness of everything and everyone noticeably enhances everyday mood.

5. Revaluation of values ​​and a surge of love for the historic homeland

There is a joke that the farther the distance, the stronger the love.

In Russia, I have not met such fierce patriots of Mother Russia who live abroad: the zealous preservation of Russian traditions and culture in the family, communication only in Russian with children, a clear self-identification of themselves as Russians. I here, on the other side of the earth, have seen more Russian national symbolism in a year than in the last ten years of my life in Russia.

If you wish, you can love your homeland everywhere, emigration is not a hindrance. Moreover, only having moved, one can realize that in Russia there are a lot of very good things that are absent abroad.

For example, high-quality and very cheap Internet and mobile communications, quite good medicine (this was a huge discovery for me), social security of workers (paid leave, long decree and many other provisions of the Labor Code on employee protection).

The legacy of the USSR as a social state in terms of free medicine and education seems to us self-evident - the fact that an employee cannot be fired at any moment, and in the event of a layoff, the employee is entitled to payments, seems to us absolutely normal and self-evident. One of the undoubted advantages of emigration is that only from the outside you can see what was wonderful in your home.

6. It is possible to find a place that meets personal requests.

There are many countries in the world, with different cultures, climates and traditions.

The departing people have the opportunity to find a place for themselves to taste: a safer and more comfortable place to stay, where the quality of everyday life is higher and the environment is better.

For example, in Russia, for a warm climate, they go to the Krasnodar Territory, which, judging by the posts on Picaba, will soon burst from the "comers." The same America is located on the globe to the south of Russia, and the choice of places of residence with long summer and mild winter is much wider here.
