Joe Biden will not run for president
Vice President Joe Biden said he would not run for president in 2016. Thus, he put an end to the months of waiting, weakening the position of the main presidential candidate from the Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton.
Biden pondered the possibility nominate from August. On Wednesday, he spoke at the White House Rose Garden in the presence of his wife, Jill, and US President Barack Obama, in order to announce his non-participation in the presidential race.
"Until I'm a candidate, I will not remain silent," Biden told reporters. “I intend to speak clearly and decisively influence what is happening - as much as I can, to make it clear where we stand, what our party is and how we should go to the people,” the vice president emphasized.
Biden, who is 72 of the year, doubted whether he and his family were ready for an exhausting campaign, while Biden is still mourn their son Bowho died of brain cancer in May.
Biden's decision strengthens the position of the candidate for US presidency Hillary Clinton as the Democratic Party's favorite when nominating a single party candidate.
