Jindal: immigration without accepting American values - invasion
Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal said immigrants to the United States should want to become Americans. “I think we should insist that people who come here legally learn English, embrace our values, roll up their sleeves and get to work,” the Republican presidential candidate said.
Jindal, whose parents immigrated to the United States from India, repeated his call for the country to move away from foreign-born Americans. “If they want to come here, they have to want to be American. Millions of people around the world want to come, and smart immigration policies allow them to do so legally, making the country stronger. It's just common sense,” he said.
Jindal also commented on Donald Trump's actions. “One of the reasons voters are so angry about Trump and other candidates is the American people's frustration with a political elite that thinks laws don't apply to them,” the Republican said.
