The judge returned the deported mother and daughter to the United States and threatened the prosecutor general with punishment

On Friday, it became known that the mother and daughter, the day before deported to El Salvador, returned to the United States. This happened a few hours after the federal judge ordered their return and threatened to accuse two ministers of contempt of court if they did not comply with his order. A woman who goes to court documents under the name Carmen and her minor daughter claimed that they crossed the US border illegally, because they had been sexually and otherwise abused in her native El Salvador. However, the US immigration authorities denied them asylum.

Early in the morning on Thursday in Houston, they were put on a plane and sent back to Salvador. This happened the next day after representatives of the federal authorities assured the judge that they would postpone the planned deportation until midnight of Thursday - that is, until the end of the court hearings on the case.

District judge Emmett Sullivan was furious when lawyers for the American Civil Liberties Union, representing the interests of Carmen and her daughter, during the hearings reported that their clients may have already been deported from the United States.

The judge blocked the decision to deport them and issued an order demanding the immediate return of Carmen and her daughter to the United States. The judge also threatened to blame US General Prosecutor Jeff Sessions and Homeland Security Minister Kirsten Nielsen for contempt of court if they did not comply with this decision.

Upon arrival in El Salvador, Carmen and her daughter were immediately sent back to the USA.
