Striking truckers in Russia "announced" by American agents

State Duma Deputy Yevgeny Fyodorov announced Russian truckers who are protesting against the new system of paying for travel on federal highways, by US agents. In Russian social networks, such an assumption is called at least absurd.

Drivers weighing more than 12 tons now have to pay 1,53 rubles in Russia for every kilometer of federal roads they have traveled. From 1 March 2016, the authorities are planning to double the rate.

The payment system, called “Plato” (short for “pay per ton”) in the first days - and it operates from November 15 - caused too many failures due to which it was impossible to connect to it.

“We see with you that the United States of America is not asleep,” MP Fedorov said in his video message in response to driver protests. “And now they, through their “fifth column”, through national traitors, have dealt another blow to the Russian Federation. I’m directly talking now about the actions of truckers who are trying, according to the plan of the United States of America, to be aimed at eliminating Russian statehood.”

It should be noted that Yevgeny Fedorov is the head of the central headquarters of the National Liberation Movement (NOD) - an organization that is part of the so-called “Anti-Maidan”, opposing the Russian opposition. The goal of NOD, judging by the information on the website of the movement, is “to restore the sovereignty lost in the 1991 year”.

In addition, the Russian deputy introduced another Internet meme, calling the truckers "Navalny militants", meaning one of the opposition leaders Alexei Navalny.

Bulk in turn spoke in support drivers who are all over Russia are protesting against the introduction of payment for the passage of trucks on the federal highways, and offered assistance from his Anti-Corruption Foundation.

The main coordinators of the protest actions are the Interregional Trade Union of Professional Drivers and the Communist Movement “Work Path”. The site of the latter, where the dates of the shares and phone numbers of the organizers were published, was blocked on Saturday by Roskomnadzor. The basis - calls for riots.

Judging by the interactive map of protests on site "Antiplaton"which was created by workers of the IT sector that were in solidarity with truckers, by the end of November, the initiative groups had already managed to coordinate several pickets and rallies against Plato in various cities of Russia.
