Bus with Russian and Ukrainian tourists had an accident in Egypt
The bus, carrying more than thirty tourists from Ukraine and Russia and caught early Tuesday morning in an accident on the Red Sea in Egypt, belongs to a major tourist company Blue Sky, according to Egyptian media.
The bus, for reasons that have not been clarified, at the fortieth kilometer of the Hurghada-Ras Gharib highway collided with a heavy-duty wagon and turned over. As a result, two people were killed, 11 suffered, including Russian and Ukrainian tourists, as well as an Egyptian driver. Another 20 tourists hospitalization is not required.
The injured and dead were taken to hospitals of Hurghada, El Gouna and Ras Garib. In the hospital of El Gouna reported that they received seven injured tourists: six Russians and one citizen of Ukraine. So far, there are no accurate medical reports on their condition, but according to preliminary estimates, injuries are not serious.
The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Cairo said that the representative of the diplomatic mission went to the site and finds out the details.
Egyptian media reported that the bus may have been carrying tourists on a trip to Cairo.
According to the Ukrainian Embassy, three Ukrainians were among the victims. “The embassy established telephone contact with one of the injured Ukrainian citizens, who reported that the Ukrainians received minor injuries. Now they are in the hospital, where they received medical care,” the embassy reports, writes UNIAN.
