Apple deliberately sold defective laptops for two years

We are talking about MacBook Pro laptops from 2016 and 2017. A defect in the loop of the screen matrix was found in them.
The lawsuit alleged that the company tested the MacBook Pro before selling it, knew about the problem, and knowingly sold the defective item. In addition, the plaintiffs argued that Apple removed any complaints on the forums. The judge agreed with the charges.

The trial is not over yet. The lawsuit seeks to reimburse repair costs and extend the warranty to all victims. Apple does not admit guilt in deliberately hiding the problem.
“The court finds that the allegations of preliminary testing, coupled with the allegations of significant customer complaints, are sufficient to suggest that Apple had exclusive knowledge of the alleged defect,” Davila said.

In 2016-2017, Apple sold MacBook Pros with a defective display module-to-motherboard cable, which damaged the display module and caused a "stage lighting effect" to appear on the display.
Experts said the company did this to reduce the thickness of the display. Apple opted for thin and flimsy flex cables over the flex cables in previous models. They could be routed through the hinge rather than wrapped around. Thus, the stress from repeated opening and closing of the laptop would be reduced. The company extended the cable in 2018.
