Airbnb will pay for a year of travel for 12 people and their families: how to apply

Airbnb rental service has launched a unique "Live Anywhere on Airbnb" program. The service will pay for 12 participants (and up to 3 satellites for each) for accommodation and transport for 10 months. What needs to be done for this is stated on website.

“Zoom from the beach, drive along scenic roads with your family, learn a new language in your favorite city. This is the program for you. By sharing your experiences, you will help shape the future of travel and long-term bookings on Airbnb,” the company says.

The program will last 12 months - from July 2021 to July 2022. The actual travel will begin in September 2021, and before that, the winners of the selection will receive instructions on traveling and renting accommodation on Airbnb.

All 12 participants will have to describe their experience of renting accommodation and tell what could be changed in the product and what resources to use for this, which accommodation is ideal for solo travelers and which is ideal for families. In this way, Airbnb hopes to shape the future of mobile living, which the COVID-19 pandemic has opened up new horizons for everyone.

This offer is great for remote workers, creative professionals, parents with children living on their own, young families, and digital nomads. But the company noted that the list is not limited to this, everyone from the countries participating in the program can apply.

Who can apply for participation

All candidates must be of legal age in their country of age, but at least 18 years of age. And only reside in one of the following countries / regions: Argentina, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, excluding Quebec, Chile, Mainland China, Denmark, Dubai, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia , Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, UK and USA.

You can apply for participation until 23:59 on June 30 link.

According to Airbnb Travel & Life Report, in the first quarter of 2021, the share of bookings made for 28 days or more increased by 10% compared to 2019. 11% of those who made long-term bookings in 2021 said they were mobile. At the same time, 74% of respondents from five countries wanted to live outside the region where their work is located after the pandemic.
