5 US cities where jobs are growing rapidly
The US labor market remains a bright spot in the country's economy as America's employers appear to be ignoring growing public fears of a global slowdown in job growth.
According to new data released by Glassdoor on Tuesday, in August the number of jobs in the US remained at a record high, increasing from 3,2% on an annualized basis to 5,94 million available positions. This is just below the July record in 6 of millions of jobs, writes Fox Business.
Despite the fact that the growth in the number of jobs decreased slightly compared to the 2018 year, and wage growth is still low and stable at the level of 1,9%, August indicators showed that the labor market continues to expand at a moderate pace, and this is a fundamentally healthy phenomenon .
Americans predominantly reject fears of a recession, while maintaining confidence in a stable economy, with consumer sentiment close to historic highs. This helps develop industries such as retail, restaurants and bars, as well as beauty and fitness.
It is worth paying attention to five cities in the United States, where there is a rapid increase in the number of jobs.
Бостон
The number of jobs in Boston increased by 8,5%, which is the fastest pace among all US cities. This is partly due to the fact that Boston benefits from a diverse labor market: highly qualified industries such as technology, as well as areas such as accounting, legal and consulting services, are represented here. Boston has over 155 400 open jobs.
Philadelphia
In August, the number of jobs increased by 5,8% compared to the same period last year, and the average base salary was 56 972 dollars. According to Glassdoor, there are over 111 000 jobs in Philadelphia.

In the US capital, the number of jobs grew by 4,9% - more than 190 available jobs with a median income of $500.
Seattle
Seattle took fifth place, the number of jobs increased by 4,3% year on year. In total, the city that spawned Amazon and Microsoft has over 112 900 jobs with average earnings of 63 633 dollars.
