18 hours without water: during a flight to the USA, a puppy died on an airplane
An 6-year-old boy is heartbroken because his beloved French Bulldog Roger died during a flight to the United States when airline employees left him without water for 18 hours. Writes about it The Sun.
According to the family, a nine-month-old puppy flew to Boston from Amsterdam on a plane from the Dutch airline KLM.
The family bought a charming dog Roger in Europe, their six-year-old son quickly became attached to him.
“This was his best friend and he was special, he needed this animal for emotional support,” said the boy’s mother, Andrea Suvaina.
But when they went to the oversized baggage department to pick up Roger after landing in the United States, they were told that the dog “did not transfer the flight.”
The devastated family attributed the puppy's lifeless body to veterinarians who told them that he had died from heat stroke and dehydration.

An autopsy report said that "difficulty breathing in a stressful, hot or humid environment, coupled with a lack of water, put Roger at high risk of heat stroke."
A KLM spokesman said the company “took care” of Roger and “gave him due attention and care.”
They insisted that the dog was given food and water.
The airline said the bulldogs were “susceptible to respiratory illness,” and that the family was warned of the risks associated with Roger's travels.
A spokeswoman for the airline added: “We sincerely regret that Roger has passed away and express our condolences to his family regarding their loss.”
But the family seems unhappy with KLM's response and hired a lawyer.

He was hired by Michael Dellagrazi, whose Pomeranian was found dead after flying aboard a Delta Airlines aircraft in 2018.
He also represented the owners of a French bulldog who had died earlier that year when a United Airlines stewardess ordered the dog to be transported to the luggage rack.
