Its ranking of the best countries for retirees is based on data from the global pension index, developed by Natixis Investment Managers and CoreData. This study is an index that focuses on four thematic sub-indices:
- Material well-being;
- Health;
- The quality of life;
- Finance.
The 18 criteria were evaluated for the derivation of these sub-indices. According to the study, the United States ranks 17 in the world among the best for retired countries.
