The beaches of Disney Park in Orlando opened after an alligator attack
The Walt Disney World park in the Orlando suburb reported that the resort’s beaches are open after tragic incident a week ago. Alligator dragged into the lake a 2-year-old boy, who the next day was found dead.
It was reported that Lane Graves from Nebraska was on the shore of a lake in the lagoon of Seven Seas, going into the water at a distance of up to half a meter, when an alligator from the lake grabbed it. The boy's father tried to resist the reptile, but he failed to snatch the child.
On Tuesday, the Florida Conservation Commission reported on the completion of an operation to catch alligators from an artificial lake. During the week, six reptiles were killed by euthanasia, and among them, according to experts, the alligator who dragged the boy under water.
According to the representative of the department, the analysis shows that the sizes of the two alligators were comparable to the reptile, which is believed to have caused the death of the child.
An autopsy revealed that Lane Graves died from his injuries and drowning.
On the beaches of the Grand Floridian Resort, where the incident occurred, and other resorts in the Disney Park, temporary fences and information signs have been installed, warning of the need to stay away from the water.
